One of the main tasks of the Honorary Consul who resides in France is the development of economic and trade relations between France and Lithuania. Due to the rapid economic growth of the country, modernisation of its economy and the clear economic policy pursued by its government, Lithuania has already become a full-fledged participant in the European market.
Lithuania is attractive due to its qualified work force, its developed network of educational institutions, and its flexible fiscal policy. Making use of its geographical position, Lithuania continues its trading traditions and acts as a bridge between Eastern and Northern Europe.
It gives me great pleasure to see that these days Lithuania regards attracting foreign tourists as a high priority.
As a member of the European Union since 1 May 2004 Lithuania holds excellent perspectives for economic and social development.
