The Company Alita is counting the fifth decade of its activity. Today, being the leader in the production of alcoholic beverages in Lithuania, it feels responsibility and the binding status. The Company’s exceptional value is a combination of modernism and traditions applied in all spheres of the Company’s activities – management, production and distribution.
Sparkling wine ALITA is the Company’s most popular trademark. The year 1980 marked a new stage in the history of Alita: the Company started producing sparkling wine, which has become the “business card” not only of the Company but also that of Lithuania. Using the classical and tank technology of making champagne and sparkling wine, Alita produces more than 10 kinds of white and red sparkling wine. From 11 to 4 million bottles a year of this wine is produced.
Fermentation and maturing of Klasikinis spark-ling wine from one to three years simply in bottles, where carbonic acid fascinating everyone by its small bubbles forms, reflect its quality.
It is only Alita that produces sparkling wine of such high quality in Lithuania. The Company has gained ten years of experience of making it by traditional method (Klasikinis has been made since the year 2000) and thirty-year experience of making sparkling wine using the bulk process.
In 1995, the Company Alita was the first in Lithuania to introduce brandy to the Lithuanian market. Brandy ALITA has taken the position of the leader since the very beginning and has been unrivalled in its category so far.
Brandy ALITA is appreciated especially highly for two reasons: for its distinctive taste and its excellent quality. Both are ensured by purchasing raw materials from reliable suppliers specialists who, thanks to their professionalism and abilities, manage to obtain an unchanging, stable and qualitative combination of rich flavour and aroma.
Modernism is a moving force
Alita devotes special attention to the quality of products being made. In 1999 the Company purchased new equipment thereby it was possible to exactly determine qualitative indicators of raw materials and products. It became possible to test the stability of quality of products prior to bottling them, and to control cold treatment processes. Alita developed and implemented the quality management system that complied with the international ISO 9002 quality requirements, the certification of the Company was made and the Company was granted the international quality management certificate. The implemented quality management system ensures constant quality control of the entire production being manufactured, as well as effective servicing of customers. It guarantees the international recognition and expansion in all European countries.
With the needs of the market increasing, the Company presented a wide and large assortment: strong beverages – vodka Premium Gera, brandy ALITA, cognac ALITA, bitters, national grain beverage Samanė; it offered a wider variety of light alcoholic beverages – cider, alcoholic cocktails MIX.
Appreciated and recognised
Awards won at international exhibitions and competitions are the best proof of the quality of products of the Company Alita. Beverages made by the Company have been awarded medals, diplomas and prizes more than 50 times. In 1993, in Brussels and in 1994, in Madrid, the Centre for European Market Research issued quality certificates of Golden Starts and European Honour Arch to the Company for its significant achievements in the trade with the countries of the European Community.
The sparkling wine Alita is the product of the Company which has won the largest number of awards. Since the year 1980 it has won 54 awards at various international exhibitions and tasting sessions.
